CHURCHES CALL TO PRAYER FOR THE ELECTIONS

All Churches in Port Macquarie, Taree, Wauchope, Laurieton & Wingham have been invited to pray for the two by-elections. A special prayer has been circulated and Church congregations have been invited to pray this prayer together at Church services this Sunday and privately for September 6 & October 18.

Pastor Kerry Medway, a leader of the 7/14 Citywide Prayer Network said that not for over 100 years has Port Macquarie been without a democratic voice in Government, with no elected Council, no elected Federal representative and no State representative. These are strange, but crucial times and he urged ALL Christians to be fervent in prayer.

The 7/14 Prayer Leaders have also organised a special screening of a powerful message via DVD from Bill Johnson on PRAYER,  to be shown on September 11 at Grace Church at 1-30pm and repeated at 7-30pm the same night. This message is titled SHAPING HISTORY THROUGH PRAYER and will stir all Christians to be fervent in prayer in these disturbed times. Mr. Medway said “We need to be zealous in prayer for these elections or else we will get the Government we deserve.”

bite into the eternal

When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. 1 Corinthians 2:1-3

Coastside Church Switch Skatepark

Motorcycle and Hot Rod Show

Sat 29th November

10:00am to 10:00pm

Loud and shiny will be the order of the day when the first Coastside Church Switch Skatepark Motorcycle and Hot Rod Show is held this coming November. Wanting to give exhibitors plenty of time to prepare their bikes and vehicles for display, organizers Bob and Sharon Waldron have announced that the show will be held on Saturday 29th November from 10am to 10pm. They have already had an enthusiastic response to the idea and expect participants from as far away as Sydney and Queensland to travel for this day, a first for Port Macquarie.

To be held in co-operation with the Port Macquarie Bandidos Motorcycle Club, the Switch Motorcycle and Hot Rod Show will raise money to support the building of the new Coastside Church Switch Skatepark. The PMBMC has supported Switch Skatepark over several years by raising money from Harley rides at the Coastside Christmas Carols.

As well as the motorcycle and hot rod displays the November show will provide activities for the whole family including a jumping castle, tug-o-war, pie eating contest, burn out pads and live music as well as a variety of food available.

Coastside Church Senior Pastor Mark Minturn, himself a motorcycle enthusiast, is looking forward to a huge day. "We are expecting this to be an awesome event, full of great things to see and do for the whole family. This day will not only help raise funds for the Coastside Switch Sk8 Park, but it will also showcase the great facility we run for our community. For anybody that loves motorbikes, hot rods or just having a lot of fun, then this in one event not to be missed this year."

“There will be trophies and big prizes for the best exhibits.” says Bob Waldron.  “Enquiries from exhibitors, potential sponsors, or from vendors wanting to secure a stall are very welcome.”

For further details contact Bob on 0401 758610.
